'Wie belt de veerman' cycling route'(37.5km)

This cycle route departs from the Schellebelle ferry, the gateway to the Kalkense Meersen. Be sure to stop by the butterfly garden and duck decoy on the Donkmeer. The beautifully landscaped castle park of Berlare is also on the route.

 

'Ijsvogel' cycle route (35km)

From the lively bustle around the Donkmeer to the vast tranquility of the Kalkense Meersen and then take a dip in the swimming pond of Provincial Domain Nieuwdonk: how much variation can you have in one day? It would make you hungry and thirsty, and even that can only work in your favor along this versatile route.

Nature reserve 'Kalkense Meersen' (34 - 71.4km)

Enjoy the peace and quiet in one of the last quiet areas in East Flanders. The Kalkense Meersen nature reserve is located between the village centers of Kalken, Overmere, Uitbergen, Schellebelle and Wetteren. You can make cycling trips with the junction network.  In Schellebelle you cross the Scheldt with the foot ferry to the hamlet of Aard.
